Despite not updating this as often, I’m still making comics! I’m about 26% through the penciling of “Puddles” and I’d like to be as close as I can to being finished before the wedding, which is right around the corner it seems. I’m not sure how I’ll be presenting it–printing it or doing a download. Maybe I’ll do both, we’ll see, either way I’d like something that I can hold in my hands.

In other news, Paul and I got an apartment, so we’ve been slowly moving things in! This also has been cutting into drawing time, but hopefully things will calm down after the wedding so that we can get some decent comic work done! Paul and I have hopes of many more conventions next year, first and foremost, MoCCA.

This is the bedroom. There is a nice little nook for my drawing table. It’s hard to tell from this picture, but we are in the attic, and almost all of the walls are slanted, making it hard for us to find furniture. So long as I can get my drawing table in, I will be plenty happy.

Looks like something is trying to break in through the wall! It’s an old place, but it is quaint and most of all it’s QUIET. It’s kind of strange to think that I started the mini comic at my parent’s home but I’ll be finishing it here :) It feels GREAT. Here’s to a year full of comics and art! (Now, all I need is a job.)

Last night my whole house was shaking due to the wind and rain. Since it’s such an old building the slightest draft will cause the windows to creak, and since last night was like a monsoon you can only imagine the noise that went on.

It was loud enough to wake me up after a crazy dream. I seem to have a lot of dreams about tornadoes, and I’m not really sure why…time to get a dream dictionary, I guess. So, yeah, the fourth panel, sorry, it looks a little naughty but it’s not supposed to–what other way can you have two people crammed into a bathtub?! We are clothed, too, so get your mind out of the gutter, though I will admit mine was there first.

–Can you tell I had a bit too much fun with sound effects??

Anyhoo, the reason I have been terrible at updating this thing is because I’m student teaching–I’m slightly surprised that I was able to actually do something productive today but I needed to draw and I need to draw more often because it’s a wonderful stress relief. A nice relief to the stress that teaching is very capable of. I only have about 5 weeks left at this placement and it’s kind of sad because I basically have only 5 classes more with these kids and they are all pretty great kids (most of them, heh heh heh). SO yeah, that has taken a big chunk out of my time but I’m OK with that since well, I need to graduate.

Also, wedding bells! Paul and I have set the date but we haven’t really made an OFFICIAL announcement. We will soon enough, yes we will. We have the church, the reception hall and the DJ. So slowly but surely things are starting to get done! We have pre cana on the 13th of February and I’m not really sure what to expect! Has anyone ever done it? Give us a heads up!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by, enjoy the strip!

As most of you  may have noticed, Paul proposed! You can go witness it here.

Between the projects for school I managed a little comic myself in response to Pauly’s.

Of course I said YES!

It was such a wonderful surprise and it really turned a crappy day into an oh-so spectacular day! I couldn’t be happier and I swear I’ve been in my own little world over the past few days because of it. We made a LOT of phone calls that night–and then we went to Perkins for a late-night breakfast. (I could eat breakfast anytime.)

Weeee!

I’m done with school for the semester and now I have to get ready for student teaching as well as working on a small submission to an anthology ran by some comic friends.

Update: Whitney Matheson of Pop Candy posted an adorable little article about Paul and I. Go check it out!
