Hello, I’m Tara Abbamondi (formally an O’Connor). I’m a cartoonist/illustrator/comic-making lady. I’m currently residing in Jersey. I just graduated from Marywood University with a BA in Art Education. As of now, I’m focusing on my comics. I got married in the fall of 2010 to Paul Abbamondi and if you read my comics you probably know him. This year and many years to come we hope to be busy with comics, maybe even have a collaboration or two.
Right now I’m working on a mini comic entitled Puddles about a girl, a catfish, and of course, puddles. It will be out HOPEFULLY before the new year. At the ridiculously latest, it will be out by MoCCA 2011, but I am pretty sure it will be well before that.
I’m also currently working on a comic pitch that is at this time untitled. Details forthcoming!
I’m pretty much influenced by every artist I’ve come across over the years, so I’d say my art is a vomit of influences–I’m sure you can name a few.

Hellos! I found your link from KittyShinigami’s new journal on DeviantArt
I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE your idea with drawing out our dreams. I might try that just to practice my drawing skills.
And I’m so glad you found someone special too ^^ I know how you feel. I’ve been with my boyfriend for just over a year now, and I couldn’t be happier ^^
I hope you keep this blog up and going, because I LOVE this so much! (The sock one is my fav so far ^^)

Thank you so much!! That’s so kind of you :)
Yea, I always have the most whacked out dreams so I would write them down–then I thought hell, why don’t I just draw them! So that’s where that began. I suggest you try it :) Let me know when you do I’d love to read them!
Thanks again, Corky :]
Yey! Charles Schultz. And Ryan Kelly is amazing–he teaches at the school I went to. Inking mastah, and a really hard worker.
Reallllly? That’s awesome!!! His work is sooooo good, so good, if I could take hold of a fraction of his talent I would be happy!
Haha, I’ve been reading Peanuts since I could read, always great stuff.
Wow, your bio looks like it could have been written by me! I’m an art eddie in the “5-year program” at Kendall in Grand Rapids, MI. I love cartoons and want to be a graphic novelist :) So glad I came across you!
Haha! That’s awesome, yeah I think it’s impossible to get out of college in 4 years…
That’s great!! :) Good luck!!

Tara: Thanks for such kind words about my daughter, Emma Capps, at MoCCA. I couldn’t find a place to add a comment over in the other section so I’m saying it here.
I know my mom already said it, but thank you so much for mentioning me in your MoCCA recap! It’s such an honor. I look forward to seeing you at future cons! “14 year old comic wonder”…hee hee! How sweet!
